Golf Course in Algarve

The Salgados Golf Course is already a golf landmark in Portugal. Its proximity to the sea and various lakes make it an interesting test of golfing skills, not to mention its uniqueness in relation to other Algarve courses.

The original design is by Portuguese architect Pedro de Vasconcelos, with subsequent expansions by other Portuguese architects; however, it is Robert Muir Graves who is largely responsible for its final configuration. The 6000 metre links course boasting plenty of water obstacles is not very long, but requires great expertise to reach the greens. A good drive is essential to obtaining good results, making it an especially enjoyable course for players with good technical skills.

Moreover, its eighteen holes are especially balanced, each half of the course having two par 5 holes with a length of some 500 metres and two par 3 holes with over 170 metres. Total par for the course is 72.
