Golf Course in Madeira
Across the small channel from Madeira to Porto Santo, here you will find the one and only golf course on this island. Designed by golf champion Seve Ballesteros, this 18-hole, 72 par golf course has two distinct areas; the southern loop which includes lakes and the northern loop which is runs on top of the cliffs. The par 3 13th hole, which is the signature hole of the course, requires an accurate swing over a gorge to reach the cliff-top green, a good challenge for many a golfer!
A 9-hole pitch and putt course is also available, which is ideal for practicing precision shots. The clubhouse is of a modern design, although fits in well with the natural landscape, as dry-stone walling, natural wood have been used as materials. The Golf Club Bar and Restaurant are a relaxing retreat, after a good day’s golf. Somewhere to enjoy the views from Porto Santo Island and to the sea.
