Marbella Golf & Country Club, set amidst the rolling countryside of Andalucía, only five minutes from the fashionable resort of Marbella, is one of the finest championship courses in Europe. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. the 18 hole layout was imaginatively conceived and is designed to compliment the existing environment and provide a testing but enjoyable game for golfers of different abilities. Bunkers abound and the rough can be difficult for shots that stray. Several lakes, which enhance the scenic value of the course particularly on the back nine, have to be successfully negotiated to preserve a reasonable score-card. Every hole is unique in design and character while affording views of the Mediterranean Sea.
