La Tercia Golf Course is located just 15 kilometres from San Javier airport and only 25 kilometres away from Murcia itself making it easily accessible and quite a popular golf course in the Murcia region. Originally built as a 9-hole this now 18-hole golf course was designed by Jose Gancedo who took his vision of creating a challenging course in a unique location and turned it into what is now La Tercia. The result is an interesting combination of undulating greens and wide fairways that are quite similar to a typical British links course with the added benefit of a near constant Spanish climate. There are plenty of water hazards to test your accuracy and skills and one of the unique features of La Tercia Golf Club is the aquatic driving range (The first in Spain) which overlooks the lake with all the standard distance markers for checking your distance. La Tercia is another good course to add to your list of must play golf courses in Murcia.
