The Celtic Manor Resort has even more to offer; alternative restaurants and bars, so something different every day of the week.

THE ROMAN ROAD GOLF COURSE

Opened in 1995, the Roman Road Golf Course is the first of Celtic Manor’s resort courses.  This 18-hole, par 70 course overlooks the Severn Estuary and is named after the old Via Julia Roman road that originally ran where the fairways are today.  Designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior, this course has been the venue for numerous European and Senior Tours.  This is a challenging course and features some long, open fairways but also some tighter fairways travelling through trees and across streams.  The Celtic Manor Club House offers laid back dining, two bars and a terrace.  This is one of the most luxurious club houses in Europe with wooden beams and open fires; a great place to sit and take in the view of the 18th hole.

THE TWENTY TEN GOLF COURSE

Built to stage the 2010 Ryder Cup, The Twenty Ten Golf Course marks the 10th anniversary of the only Ryder Club held in Wales.   Half of the 18 holes have water hazards and six signature holes.  One of the main features of this fantastic course is that many of the earlier holes have a links feel about them where the latter holes reveal a lake lined challenge.  The clubhouse takes advantage of views over the 18th hole and the Rafters Bar and Restaurant is found here.  A fantastic place for the after-golf drink.

THE MONTGOMERIE GOLF COURSE

The 3rd golf course at Celtic Manor, the Montgomerie Golf Course is the smaller of the three but offers a spectacular par 69 challenge for any golfer.  Colin Montgomerie has created a traditional feel and used his Ryder Cup experience to create a course strategically placed.  With breath-taking scenery of the Welsh valleys, this course has been the host to many professional and highly ranked amateur tournaments.   The Montgomerie Golf Course shares the Celtic Manor Club House with the Roman Road Golf Course.
