El Rompido

Situated in the province of Huelva, in the far west of Andalusia, Golf el Rompido is integrated into the natural landscape of Marismas del Río Piedras and is the only 36-hole golf course in the region (including the north and south courses). Its two 18-hole courses, surrounded by pine trees and orange groves, cross the Marismas or marshes and make their way towards the Atlantic Ocean, providing spectacular views and a unique sensation for golfers. The power of nature is apparent in every step thanks to a total absence of buildings, making golf a pleasure for the senses. Opened in 2003, the South Course borders the clubhouse and is divided into two courses of very different characteristics in terms of technique and landscape. The pinewood, olive trees and marsh conspire to demand strategy and precision from the golfer. The North course, inaugurated in spring boasts privileged views due to its location on a hill. Its fairways, longer and wider than those in the south course, put the player’s technique to the test.
