CLOSE HOUSE GOLD RESORT, NORTHUMBERLAND, ENGLAND

Built-in 1779, Close House in Northumberland was built as a private home for the Bewicke family and through generations until the early 20th century when the premises were mortgaged due to the family’s wealth subsiding. The estate went through many hands until 2004 when it was sold to a local businessman, Graham Wylie, who developed the property as a luxurious retreat offering conferences, meetings, and top-quality golf.  The Courtyard suite accommodation provides rooms of a high standard, offering the perfect place to relax after a day on the golf course. The Terrace rooms were later opened, giving the opportunity for Close House to accommodate more golfers throughout the year.
