Constructed in 1964 by the prestigious architect D. José Maria Coderch, the building is known over the boarders for being something special. The Meliá de Mar is without any doubt one of the most charismatic hotels on the island and is one of the best examples of modern Architecture on the Balearic Islands. Since a couple of years ago, the building is under protection of the historical patrimony. With its 7 floors, right in front of the Mediterranean Sea, the building sets an emphasis on the modern in both quality and design.
