La Duquesa Golf course, designed by Robert Trent Jones is located in the midst of a spectacular landscape, with magnificent views over the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and to Africa. It has five par 3's, eight par 4's, and five par 5's, with two small man-made lakes. It offers an interesting and varied game due to its long fairways and has two clearly different parts. The first 9 holes are of a certain "English style" with narrow fairways and high greens. Particularly beautiful is the 4th hole for its magnificent views, but it can also easily give you trouble with your score card. The 8th par 3 is only 125m long but has a drop of 30m! The second 9 are easier with wide fairways, although the green will supply additional difficulties. The course is challenging for the low handicap golfer, but remains friendly to mid and higher handicap players, a must for all serious golfers!
