El Chaparral is an 18 hole golf course which sweeps along the undulating coastline of Mijas Costa, approximately 20 minutes drive from Malaga. As soon as Spanish architect Pepe Gancedo was commissioned the local golfing fraternity waited with baited breath to see if he could surpass his other design triumphs at Torrequebrada and Golf del Sur… they were not disappointed. The course and Clubhouse are unique on the Costa del Sol. Practically every hole overlook the sea, and the nature of the terrain, the indigenous vegetation and pine forests ensure that no two holes are alike. Indeed with six par 3´s, six par 4´s and six par 5´s it is a beautiful and challenging course to play. Beginners will not find a better way of practicing this sport, and the experts and professionals will find themselves on a course made for them
