Since its opening in 1968, the Atalaya Old Course has been one of the most distinctive golf courses of the Costa del Sol. A classical parkland course formed by a series of superb fairways of bermuda-grass, strategically-placed bunkers and elevated greens. The Atalaya New Course is a tight and hilly course designed by Paul Krings in March ‘93. An 18-hole course with undulating fairways and perfect greens and constitutes a true challenge for those who have already starting playing the game with a dramatic mountainous backdrop. Its marvellous facilities, its privileged location and the special attention paid to the golf players are the distinguishing mark of this club, where year after year a number of international tournaments take place to the satisfaction of the European Golfing world’s most demanding professionals.
