This championship course which opened in 2000, designed by Ramon Espinosa, has been constructed on the local rice fields and is quite different from most of the others in the region. Surrounded by marvellous landscapes from the Baix Empordą and only 2km from the coast, the course offers the best conditions to play golf and to enjoy the mild Mediterranean weather. The courses is divided into three distinct areas (links area, forest area and lakes area) with gentle ridges, pine woods and fairways running between lakes. Strategic doglegs frequent many holes on this course, so placement of your tee shots is paramount. When entering through a path in the hedgerow, you come to the 14th, 15th and 16th holes, which could easily be mistaken for a typical Floridian golf course on the swamps. The clubhouse, an old Catalan farmhouse dating from the 19th century, a great place to reflect on your shots after the game. Offering views to the medieval village of Pals and Medes Islands nature reserve, this is one of the best courses in the province of Gerona, and it is suitable for players of all levels.
