The Perelada Golf Club is one of the most beautiful and complete golf courses in Catalonia, located in the heart of Emporda close to the the French border. It boasts a five star hotel with spa, 'David Leadbetter' golf school and the casino/castle of Peralada. The course was opened in 1993 and has been designated the best course on the Costa Brava several times. The course is designed to suit golfers of all abilities. Blending in perfectly with the landscape, the conservation of the environment and care for nature is prevalent over the whole course. As you go round, you can see water birds, birds of prey and a great variety of plants, indigenous animals and other interesting species that have adapted to the environment. The course is fairly flat with areas of lakes, water-banks and trees, suitable for all types of player, an ideal course both for staging competitions and large tournaments and for enjoying a pleasant, relaxing day out.
